These terms and conditions apply to all services provided by Goodscargo Packers Movers. By using our services, the sender (consignor) agrees to the following terms:

1. Liability for Packing and Damage

• The company does not take any responsibility for leakage, breakage, or shortage due to sun, rain, water, or weather conditions.
• It is the sender’s responsibility to ensure proper and secure packing of goods.

2. Perishable Items

• Fresh fruits and other perishable goods are transported entirely at the sender’s risk. The company is not liable if they spoil during transit.

3. Shipping Schedule

• The company will dispatch goods at the earliest possible opportunity, either in full or part shipments, based on vehicle availability.

4. Delivery and G.R. Conditions

• Goods will be delivered only upon presentation of the original G.R. (Goods Receipt) and payment of all applicable charges.
• The company will not be held responsible for wrong delivery if accurate consignee or delivery address is not mentioned on the invoice or G.R.

5. Delivery Location

• Delivery will be made at the company’s destination warehouse unless other arrangements have been explicitly agreed upon in writing.

6. Storage and Demurrage

• Goods must be collected within 7 days of arrival. After this period, demurrage charges of ₹100 per tonne/day (or per kg/day) will be levied.

7. Vehicle Breakdown

• The company will not be responsible for any delay, loss, or inconvenience caused due to vehicle breakdowns en route.

8. Claims Post-Delivery

• Once goods are delivered and a receipt is issued, no further claims shall be entertained for loss, damage, or shortage.

9. Taxes & Duties

• The company is not responsible for incorrect octroi/custom assessments. Any claims must be raised directly with the concerned authorities.

10. Weight Discrepancies

• Any discrepancy between the declared and actual weight will be adjusted at the destination, and the difference will be charged along with 25% penalty.

11. Undelivered Goods

• If goods are not received within 30 days, the sender must notify the company in writing via registered letter. Without such notice, no claim shall be entertained.

12. Abandoned Goods

• If goods are not collected within one month of arrival, the company reserves the right to auction the goods publicly to recover dues. Any further recovery will be pursued legally against the sender.

13. Insurance Responsibility

• The company is not liable for any loss or damage if the goods are not insured by the sender.

• All unresolved disputes will be settled in court as per Clause 17.

14. Delivery Without G.R.

• The company may deliver goods without a G.R. if the consignee’s name matches and the delivery appears legitimate.

• For G.R. marked “self,” the original G.R. must be presented for delivery. The company is not liable for wrongful delivery in such cases.

15. Re-booking

• The company does not take responsibility for re-booking of consignments once delivered or dispatched.

16. Door Delivery

• Door delivery will be made only after submission of the consignee copy of the G.R. or the consignee may opt to collect goods from the company’s warehouse.

17. Legal Jurisdiction

• All disputes or legal proceedings will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Chennai only, irrespective of the dispatch or delivery location.

18. Prohibited Goods

• The company will not transport items such as firearms, explosives, narcotics, flammable materials, or any goods prohibited by law.

19. Force Majeure

• The company is not liable for delays or damages due to natural calamities, strikes, government restrictions, or any event beyond reasonable control.

20. Change in Terms

• The company reserves the right to amend or update these terms at any time without prior notice. The latest version will be available on the website.
